            <l>S<ex>i</ex>r Roger from a zealous piece of freeze</l>
            <l>Raisd' to a vicar but without degrees:</l>
            <l>Whose yeerly auditt may by strict accompt</l>
            <l>To xx nobles and his veiles amount</l>
            <l>Fedde on the Common of the Female charity</l>
            <l>Vntill the Scottes can bring about theire parity.</l>

            <l>So shotten that his soule much like himselfe</l>
            <l>Walkes but in Quirpo; this same Clergie else</l>
            <l>Encountring with a brother of the cloath</l>
            <l>Fell presently to cudgels with the Oath</l>
            <l>The quarrell was a strange mis-shapen monster</l>
            <l>&amp;c: (god blesse us) which they conster</l>
            <l>The Brand upon the buttocke of the Beast</l>
            <l>The Dragons tayle tied on a knott: a Neast</l>
            <l>Of yong Apocrypha'<del rend="strikethrough">l</del>s, the fashion</l>
            <l>Of a new mentall reseruation</l>
            <l>Whiles Roger thus derides the text, the other</l>
            <l>Winkes and expoundes, saying, my pious brother</l>
            <l>Hearken with reuerence for the point is nice</l>
            <l>I neuer read ont' but I fasted twice</l>
            <l>And so by Reuelation know it better</l>
            <l>Then all the learn'de Idolaters of the Letter</l>
            <l>With that he swel'de and sette upon the Theame</l>
            <l>Like great Goliah with his Weauers beame</l>
            <l>I say to the &amp;c thou lyest</l>
            <l>Thou art the curled locke of Anti-Christ</l>
            <l>Rubbish of Babel for who will not say</l>
            <l>Tongues are confounded in et cetera?</l>
            <l>Who sweares &amp;c sweares more oathes at once</l>
            <l>Then Cerberus out of his triple sconce</l>
            <l>Who uiewes it well with the same eye beholdes</l>
            <l>The ould false serpent in his numerous foldes</l>
            <l>Accurs'd &amp;c now now I sent</l>
            <l>What the prodigious bloudy oysters meant</l>
            <l>Oh Bowker Bowker how cam'st thou to lacke</l>
            <l>This fiend in thy Prophetick Almanacke?</l>
            <l>'Tis the darke uault where the infernall plott</l>
            <l>Of Powder gainst the State was first begotte</l>

            <l>By all the Father<del rend="strikethrough">s</del> Garnets that stand by it</l>
            <l>Gainst which the Church whereof I am a member</l>
            <l>Shall keep another Fifth day of Nouember</l>
            <l>Nay heeres not all I cannot halfe untrusse</l>
            <l>Et cetera ‘tis so abdominous</l>
            <l>The Trojan Nagge was not so fully lin’de</l>
            <l>Vnrippe &amp;c and you shall finde</l>
            <l>Ogg the great Commissary and which is worse </l>

            <l>Then finally my babe of grace forbeare</l>
            <l>Et cetera will be too large to sweare</l>

            <l>A Yorkeshire way-bit longer then a mile</l>
            <l>Heere Roger was inspirde and by Gods diggers</l>
            <l>Heele sweare in wordes at length and not in figures</l>
            <l>No by this drinke which he takes of as loath</l>
            <l>To leaue &amp;c in his liquid oath</l>
            <l>His brother pledg'de him and in that bloudy wine</l>
            <l>He sweares hee’l be the Synods Catiline</l>
            <l>Thus they dranke on not offering to parte</l>
            <l>Till they had sworne out the eleuenth quart</l>
            <l>Whiles all that heard and saw them jointly say</l>
            <l>They and theire tribe were all - &amp;c.</l>
