            Most sacred sov<ex>er</ex>aigne.
         </p>
         <p>
            Accordinge to the warrante of yo<ex>u</ex>r ma<ex>jes</ex>ties com<ex>m</ex>aundem<ex>en</ex>t wee haue bynn moste <lb/>
            willinge and ready to giue all occurrance and assistance unto the Lordes of the <lb/>
            Clergie for establishinge of the service booke. And notwithstandinge the barbarous <lb/>
            tumulte occasioned only (for any thinge wee cann yet lerne) by a nomber <lb/>
            of base and Rascally people, wee were very hopefull that in a shorte tyme <lb/>
            w<ex>i</ex>thout any further trouble or importunity to yo<ex>u</ex>r ma<ex>jes</ex>tie to haue brought yt to <lb/>
            passe; And to that ende havinge appointed a meetinge of Councell <lb/>
            upon the 23th of this instante Auguste in this extraordinary tyme of vacancy <lb/>
            expresly to consider of the beste course for advancinge of the saide service book <lb/>
            wee finde our selves surprised (farre beyonde our expectation) w<ex>i</ex>th the <lb/>
            clamors and feares of yo<ex>u</ex>r ma<ex>jes</ex>ties subiectes from diuerse p<ex>ar</ex>tes of the

            in obedience to yo<ex>u</ex>r ma<ex>jes</ex>ties lawes) both in Eccl<ex>esiast</ex>i<ex>c</ex>all and Civill affayres: <lb/>
            And that wee finde yt to bee a matter of soe highe a consequence in re=<lb break="no"/>
            specte of a generall grudge and murmurre of all sortes of people for urginge <lb/>
            of the said service book as the lik hath not bynn hearde att any tyme here=<lb break="no"/>
            tofore: Soe as wee dare not any longer to delaye or conceale yt from yo<ex>u</ex>r <lb/>
            ma<ex>jes</ex>tie where unto yt may tende or what effecte yt may produce. Nether <lb/>
            doe dare wee medle further in the cause untill yt please yo<ex>u</ex>r ma<ex>jes</ex>tie in the <lb/>
            deepenesse of yo<ex>u</ex>r royall Iudgm<ex>en</ex>t to pr<ex>e</ex>scribe the way after the hearinge <del rend="strikethrough">all</del> of all <lb/>
            p<ex>ar</ex>ticulars, either by callinge yo<ex>u</ex>r ma<ex>jes</ex>ties councell and Lordes of the clergie to <lb/>
            yo<ex>u</ex>r ma<ex>jes</ex>ties owne p<ex>re</ex>sence to effecte a course that may bee taken, for pacifyinge <lb/>
            of the p<ex>re</ex>sente com<ex>m</ex>otion and establishinge of the saide service book, or otherwise <lb/>
            by such other meanes as to your ma<ex>jes</ex>tie in yo<ex>u</ex>r greate wisedome shall seeme <lb/>
            fitte. And wee haue appointed the 20th of September nexte for attendinge yo<ex>u</ex>r <lb/>
            ma<ex>jes</ex>ties pleasure herin, w<ex>hi</ex>ch (as becom<ex>m</ex>eth faithfull and humble subiectes &amp; those <lb/>
            whome yo<ex>u</ex>r ma<ex>jes</ex>tie hath honored w<ex>i</ex>th yo<ex>u</ex>r royall com<ex>m</ex>aundem<ex>en</ex>t) wee are ready <lb/>
            to followe and obaye. Soe w<ex>i</ex>thall humble prayers for yo<ex>u</ex>r ma<ex>jes</ex>ties longe and <lb/>
            prosperous raigne wee reste &amp;c.
